John F. Kennedy was Independent-Minded

For example, he was a strong supporter of civil rights, even though it was a risky position to take in the early 1960s. He also supported the establishment of the Peace Corps, a volunteer organization that sends Americans to developing countries to work on projects such as education and healthcare.
